We run a family-owned farm shop in Somerset, selling a range of fantastic local produce.
Our eggs come from our free-range hens, fabulously spoilt by Jenny. We sell our delicious Guernsey milk and cream raw and unpasteurised, just as nature intended.
It takes 2 minutes to walk from the field where we grow many of our vegetables to the shop; other vegetables are sourced through a local grower and a local wholesaler.
Our meat (we sell mutton, veal and game as well as the usual) comes from the Kimber family (Ruth Kimber was the winner of the 2010 Harmsworth Award for Outstanding Contribution to Food in Somerset) near Wincanton, our bread is from Taylors at Bruton and The Bakery on the A303 West Camel and our fish from Jane the Dorset Fishwife.
Cakes, jams, chutneys, and honey are all made locally. All this means we can be sure that our produce is seasonal - no strawberries in December here - and as fresh as can be.
